Project Description

Talis Civil was engaged by Novorail Alliance to construct the new Penrith Substation as part of the larger Power Supply Upgrade Program initiated by Transport NSW which has been designed to facilitate all future rail timetables and new generation of air conditioned trains. Works included cast-in-situ reinforced concrete slabs, rectifier and GIS pits, footing walls, cable trenches, floor slabs, bunded walls, transformer plinths, blast walls; installation of hold-down bolts for structural steel frames, all external asphalt pavements and installation of newly upgraded GLT / service transfers.
