Name: Clyde Central Hub Pedestrian Walkway
Location: 148 Manchester Road, Auburn (Sydney Trains HUB Facility)
Client:  Sydney Trains
Commencement: June 2017
Duration: 6 Months

Project Description

Construction of a 500m Long Shared Footpath, Bridge and Access Route from Clyde Station to Sydney Trains new Central HUB Facility. The project had numerous design components including lighting, structural steel bridge, CCTV and screw piles for cantilever footpath. The site was extremely tight and the site crew had to deal with the large population of endangered IBIS birds, bats and the deadly brown snake which added another element of difficulty to the project. Successful variations based on the performance of the contract works involved the construction of nearly 10,000m2 of additional overspill carpark and specialised structural steel and Dexion racking.
